The Bridge Over Troubled Waters, Inc.

The Bridge assist women, children and men in crisis, particularly those who have been affected by domestic violence, sexual assault or homeless situations.
They can make referrals and provide information even if you reside outside of Harris County.
Women and children are granted initial stay in the emergency shelter for up to 30 days and then may apply for an extension through a caseworker provided they are working on goals.
Criteria for initial entry includes referral from The Bridge or another emergency shelter, GED or plan to obtain one while participating in the program, some source of income, and if seeking permanent housing must have documented physical or mental disability as well.
