The mission of the Women's Bureau is to strengthen families by advancing women through advocacy, education and empowerment.
Transitions is a substance abuse program geared towards pregnant women and women with children under five years of age. Women can bring their children with them to the program so they do not have to spend their recovery away from their children. The program consists of counseling and education classes that focus on parenting, self-sufficiency, bonding issues, etc. Transitions helps women strengthen support systems and find healthy relationships, both of which are keep aspects of a successful recovery. The program also assists clients in finding and keeping permanent housing.
