Lexington Rescue Mission plays a vital role in preventing and helping to end homelessness in Lexington. From its first Thanksgiving dinner to today's innovative, forward-thinking counseling programs and life-skills classes, the Mission is constantly growing and adapting to meet the changing needs of our community's poorest men, women and children.
We provide emergency financial help with rent and utility bills for individuals and families who have a genuine need. Most are just one step away from losing their housing or having their utilities shut off.
Free medical care is provided to the uninsured at the mission's clinic, which is staffed by a nurse practitioner and volunteer medical professionals.
