The Cecil County Mens Shelter, often referred to as Settlement House, provides IMG_0569emergency/transitional housing for men who are experiencing a period of homelessness in their lives.
The Mens Shelter is within walking distance to medical services, social services, and employment opportunities.
The men to move toward independence, greater self-sufficiency and increased hope and wholeness by receiving referrals to medical and mental health providers, help with a job searches or pursuing education, case management, the hospitality of food and friendship, and individual and small group interaction.  The Mens Shelter works closely with the Veterans Administration and reserves eight of the fifteen beds for veterans who are experiencing homelessness.
