San Diego Rescue Mission

While the focus is on serving the comprehensive needs of an individual, the fact remains that there are some situations where the homeless specifically women and their children first need to find a safe place to spend the night.
In response to this increasing need, we opened Nueva Vida Haven in 2000.

This emergency shelter for women and children (under the age of 17) provides a secure place to sleep, as well as hot meals, clothing, hygiene products, and access to warm showers.
While San Diego sleeps, our staff is on duty serving as many as 60 women and children each night. Many are homeless and/or battered.
