The StandUp For Kids Orange County Chapter was launched in 2003. The Orange County chapter operates on four core programs:
    Street Outreach
    Outreach Centers
    Mentoring
    Apartment Support.
All of our programs have the overall goal of leading homeless youth to self-sufficiency and preventing at-risk youth from gang involvement, substance abuse, teen pregnancy, and dropping out of high school. In 2016, StandUp For Kids - Orange County served 252 unduplicated youth and our volunteers donated over 5,000 hours of service.
Major accomplishments of StandUp For Kids - Orange County include:
Opening our Anaheim Outreach Center in 2013, which has since expanded to be open 3-4 nights and sees up to 50 youth a week
The opening of our Huntington Beach Outreach Center for youth 18-25
Successfully launching a Housing and Rehabilitation Program
Successfully launching our S.T.E.M. Program in September of 2016 and our YEA! Youth Entrepreneur Academy in January 2017 (our STEM program for Anaheim youth, serving the same population as the YEA! program, has increased grades and academic engagement in the students enrolled)
Lastly, in October of 2016 our Orange County Chapter won "Outstanding Program of the Year" at our National Conference.
